The top management of Russia’s Gazprom-Media has held a meeting with a delegation from Iran.
According to the company, the delegation was received by CEO Alexander Zharov, his deputy and Rutube CEO Alexander Moiseev and Vadim Vershchagin, the CEO of Central Partnership. It included Mohommad Khazan, the deputy minister of culture and head of the Organisation for Cinematography and Audiovisual Sphere of the Republic of Iran.
The parties discussed specific steps for the joint production of content and its distribution between countries. In addition, they agreed to develop cooperation and exchange of experience both in the creation of series, films and animation, and in import substitution in the field of content production.
Gazprom-Media Holding notes that it announced a collaboration with Iranian filmmakers on June 16 this year during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It will be the first joint Russian-Iranian project in the history of the industry.
