Telia and C More extend Allsvenskan & Superettan matches from discovery+

August 18, 2022 10.56 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Telia and C More subscribers will be able to enjoy more Swedish football following an agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery.

From August 20, Telia and C More will be streaming matches from the top flight Allsvenskan and the second tier Superettan. The rights include all of the matches covered by Discovery+.

“The Allsvenskan is one of the most engaging leagues and this means that we can offer our customers the absolute strongest range on the market. We collect Sweden’s best rights in a package with Allsvenskan from discovery+ and SHL, seasoned with international leagues and the crown jewel UEFA Champions League, in one and the same place only at Telia,” says Henrik Lönnevi, Head of Telia’s consumer business.

Allsvenskan & Superettan from discovery+ can be streamed on Telia and C More from Saturday 20 August. Telia and C More’s customers will be able to watch the matches by streaming in Telia Play or C More’s streaming service via their TV & streaming box or other device of their choice.

“We have reached an agreement with Telia which means that our broadcasts from Allsvenskan and Superettan will be able to be seen on discovery+, on our linear event channels and now also via Telia Play and C More. Our goal is for interest in Swedish elite football to grow and this is part of that strategy,” says Sanny Ekstrand, who heads the Swedish operations for Warner Bros. Discovery.

The remaining season of Allsvenskan and Superettan will be included for customers with Telia’s TV & Streaming package All sport from Telia, C More & Viaplay (599 SEK/month). The matches will also be available to C More subscribers with the C More Premium Plus package.
