Russia’s leading pay-TV operator Tricolor will launch a proprietary crime channel on August 19.
Focusing on real detective investigations of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, reconstructions of crimes and materials from court cases, Kriminalny will be available to both satellite viewers and in the Tricor and TV online cinema.
Commenting on the development, Marina Gasparyan, director of content production at Tricolor, said: “True crime content is traditionally in high demand among the audience. Crime-detective programs, both documentaries and fiction, regularly top the charts in our reports, demonstrating a stable share of TV viewing. We are pleased to offer our customers a TV channel with such popular content”.
Kriminalny will become the 19th proprietary channel operated by Tricolor.
