Serbia’s Yettel boosts sports offer

August 10, 2022 11.20 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The PPF Group-owned mobile operator Yettel has significantly added to the sports content offered by Hipernet TV.

All Arena Sport channels are now part of every Hipernet package. Apart from Premier League, they offer Serie A, La League, Europa League, and the Super League of Serbia. In addition, the best basketball competitions, such as NBA and ABA League, are available on Arena Sports. Eurosport, which is established as the home of cycling, Grand Slam tennis, winter sports and the Olympic Games, is now also offered by Hipernet TV.

Commenting on the development, Nenad Hasura, director of fixed and digital services segment in Yettel, said: “Hipernet TV offers all top sports content in one place, conveniently organised per sports and competitions/leagues. Hipernet TV is an ideal combination with Hipernet fast optic internet. We also offer Hipernet TV as a separate service, which can be watched independently, regardless of where you are in Serbia. The only prerequisite is that the user has an internet connection, irrespective of the technology and the operator. In this way, within the Hipernet offer, it is possible to choose a combination of optical internet and digital television, but also only one of these services individually”.

Broadband TV News notes that Yettel was known as Telenor Serbia up until March this year. It offers services to almost 3 million customers in the country and entered the fixed line market in 2021 by launching the interactive and digital TV service Hipernet TV.
