Antik launches Ukrainian TV package

August 9, 2022 11.34 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Antik Telecom has launched a full package of commercial Ukrainian TV channels in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The first such offer in both countries and targeting people who escaped the war in Ukraine, it consists of 12 channels of various genres including family, film, documentary, sports and kids.

Available free of charge until the end of this month for all clients of Antik’s optical networks, as well as via the internet on AntikTV, it will subsequently cost €2.90/CZK79 a month from the beginning of September. From September 1 it will also be available in the IPTV part of the AntikSAT service.

Commenting on the development, Vlastimil Lakatos, head of the TV services department at Antik Telecom, said: “Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, we have been looking for a way to offer our neighbours something that they are at home with and can make their stay in Slovakia a little more pleasant – quality TV content in their native language.

“After the first – mainly news – channels from Ukraine, we have now put together a full range of family entertainment for all age groups – from movies, through children’s channels to sports”.

Antik says it will continue to increase its offer this autumn.
