The number of paid subscribers to RTL’s streaming services in Germany and the Netherlands has increased by 48%.
4.5 million are now enjoying content from RTL+ and Videoland, buoyed by a robust performance from the linear channels in the two countries.
In the first half of 2022, RTL Group’s families of TV channels in Germany and the Netherlands reported higher audience shares and increased their audience lead over their main commercial competitors.
“Our streaming services continued to grow dynamically and passed the 4.5 million paying subscriber mark. In the second half of 2022, we will expand RTL+ to become a cross-media entertainment service,” said Thomas Rabe, Chief Executive Officer, RTL Group.
First half streaming revenue was up 21.5% to €130 million.
