Patrick Preissl has been appointed the new CEO of Austrian TV platform simpliTV, effective this month.
He has been the company’s CMO since January this year.
According to simpliTV, in his new role Preissl will focus more on marketing and product development. A great deal has already been invested in simpliTV products in recent years in order to bring a new, hybrid DTT/IP television experience to the market. The next step is now to make this new generation of the TV experience tangible for as many customers as possible and to expand it further at the same time.
Commenting on his appointment, Preissl said: “I’m really looking forward to this new task – a great challenge that motivates me personally and has a lot of potential”.
He added: “simpliTV still has a lot planned! But the most important thing is to offer our customers the right product and to grow with their needs. We want to live up to our name and make top-quality television easily accessible for the whole of Austria, whether via antenna, satellite or streaming.
“It is important to make television more innovative, flexible and individual in the future.
“This is exactly what we achieve by combining live TV and on-demand TV – full flexibility with the highest quality for our TV audience”.
Prior to joining simpliTV, Preissl worked at myWorld.com as marketing director, where he focused heavily on online marketing and eCommerce.
