O2 TV Box set to launch

July 27, 2022 11.10 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The new Czech O2 TV Box will officially be made available to customers on August 1.

According to O2, its launch will be accompanied by a promotional campaign fronted by the footballer Petr Cech.

In addition, each customer who buys the box will receive the O2 TV Zlata service free of charge for one month.

The company adds that the O2 TV Box will bring the functions and features of a home multimedia centre to customers. It will offer both HD and 4K resolution for a perfectly sharp image, as well as HDR technology for better depth and colour contrast. Thanks to Bluetooth, it will be possible to connect wireless headphones, a gamepad, a keyboard and a mouse to the box, if the customer uses the set-top box, for example, to play games. Thanks to Android TV, viewers will be abledownload hundreds of applications to the O2 TV Box, including games, YouTube, Spotify, HBO Max or the O2 library.

The price of the new O2 TV Box will be the same as its predecessor, i.e. CZK4,140 (€168.3) or CZK 69 per month if the customer opts for instalments without an increase.

It will also come with an extended five-year warranty.
