IPTV continues to grow at the expense of other pay-TV reception technologies in Slovenia.
According to data released by the regulator Akos, it had a market share of 58.32% in the first quarter, up from 56.92% the same period last year.
Digital cable, on the other hand, had a share of 35.92%, compared to 36.68%, and satellite 4.72% (4.88%).
Analogue cable’s share fell from to 0.58% to 0.45%, and MMDS’s from 0.84% to 0.59% over the same period.
As of Q1 this year, Telekom Slovenije had a 41.88% share of the IPTV market, down from 43.80% a year earlier.
T-2 had a share of 32.32% (31.97%) A1 Slovenije 21.26% (20.65%) and Telemach 4.13% (3.15%).
The pentetration of fixed TV services stood at 82.76%, compared to 81.83% a year earlier.
