Sky Deutschland has added IPTV, web and mobile rights to its Wimbledon contract, following an extension of its partnership with the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
The broadcaster will continue to provide live coverage of the tournament in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, exclusively in Germany and Austria. In addition to satellite and cable distribution, the addition of IPTV, web and mobile rights means the tennis can now be via the mobile streaming service Sky Go and steaming service WOW.
Charly Classen, Head of Sports Sky Germany said: “With Wimbledon we will continue to broadcast the world’s most prestigious tennis tournament exclusively on German-language television and continue to offer our customers the finest lawn tennis from the tennis highlight of the year.”
Sky Deutschland also has German language rights to the ATP tour as part of the Sky Sport Tennis channel.
