Sky Austria has expanded its partnership with ORF.
The Austrian public broadcaster will have its online platform TVthek integrated into the new Sky Glass streaming television in Austria. TVthek is already available on Sky Q and the Sky X streaming box.
Harald Kräuter, ORF Director of Technology and Digitisation said: “As part of our digitisation offensive on the way to becoming a multimedia platform, we want to offer our content to the audience on all relevant distribution channels in the best technical quality, with the highest usability and with the most modern features with the ORF TVthek.”
Michael Radelsberger, Vice President Commercial Sky Austria added: “We are consistently expanding our partnership with ORF and are pleased to be able to continue to make the heavily used ORF TVthek conveniently and easily available to Sky customers. I would like to express my sincere thanks to my colleagues at ORF for the pleasant cooperation.”
As part of the planned integration of ORF TVthek on the new Sky Glass streaming television, new features are being introduced alongside a deeper integration into the user interface.
