The Czech national transmission company CRa will continue its 5G broadcast tests in Prague and Central Bohemia until the end of the year.
According to Digital Rozhlas, the tests, which began in April, are employing the Prague – Zizkov transmitter and distributing Czech Radio and the TV channels Czech TV and FTV Prima.
Speaking at the start of the tests, Karel Zyka, the technical director of Czech Radio, said: “Preparation before the actual implementation, which will undoubtedly occur, pays off. These are very valuable experiences that cannot be gained from abroad, because the terrain and overall situation in that country are always completely different. It is non-transferable. If we are talking about 2027 or around 2030, it is very advantageous for us to be at that beginning”.
