Sky has signed a new agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery placing the Discovery+ app onto Sky Q boxes in Italy.
The move is in addition to the free and pay channels; Discovery Channel, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and Warner Bros on demand content already available on the platform.
Sky subscribers with either the satellite or internet versions of Sky Q will be able to access Discovery+ directly from the App section or via voice control and find a selection of discovery+ content directly in Q’s Home. In addition, subscribers will be able to receive Discovery+ for the first 12 months. A similar offer accompanied the launch of Sky+ in the UK market.
“We are very pleased with this new agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, which consolidates our collaboration in Italy and confirms once again how Sky is the partner of excellence for leading content producers,” said Andrea Duilio, Managing Director, Sky Italia.
The offer, which allows discovery+ entertainment at no extra cost for the first 12 months, is also available to Sky Q subscribers who already have a discovery+ account.
