Facebook Watch, the dedicated app designed for watching Facebook video and live streams on the TV, has been discontinued from Apple TV.
As first reported by 9to5Mac, the app no longer works on Apple TV, though the app itself remains available in the app store. Attempts to use the app are presented with a message noting that the app is “no longer available”.
The alternative for Apple TV users is to cast Facebook videos to the Apple TV box using Airplay.
The app remains available on smart TV, where it has recently been given a makeover.
As recently as September 2021, Vodafone began integrating Facebook Watch on its TV platforms in Germany and Spain.
