M7 appoints Robin Logjes as Content Director, Original Productions

June 23, 2022 08.24 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Robin LogjesM7 Group, has appointed Robin Logjes as its Content Director, Original Productions.

In his role, Robin will primarily focus on the creation and production of European scripted content that appeals and resonates across all M7 territories.

The appointment of Robin is a logical outcome of M7’s widened scope from linear channel distributor to premium content producer and creator. This transition follows the acquisition of M7 by Canal+ Group in 2019, resulting in an increased focus on providing high quality content for both linear and SVOD services.

Stefano Colombo, VP Content at M7 commented: “Recent research by Canal+ confirms there is a strong but unfulfilled appetite among SVOD users for original and exclusive fiction content, from European origin. Backed by the expertise and long-standing experience of Canal+, our ambition is to meet this untapped demand. We are therefore very happy to have Robin on board, bringing an outstanding knowledge of everything related to films and series, while being an expert in the fields of scriptwriting, content acquisition and production.” Robin’s 20+ years career in the media industry included various assignments at RTL, most recently as EVP of Acquisitions.

Robin Logjes commented: “Given my professional background and enormous passion for scripted content, I am very excited to take on this new role in which I intend to collaborate closely with content producers throughout Europe. I hope to prove that in the increasingly crowded world of streamers, the creation of our own, high-quality content is a critical differentiator. Strongly rooted in various European markets, I believe M7 has strong cards to play for the creation and production of attractive content that works well across many borders.”
