The Latvian incumbent Tet and telcos Telia Lietuva (Lithuania) and Telia Eesti (Estonia) have signed a multi-year cooperation agreement with the film studio Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The agreement includes the right to show films on the Tet+ streaming platform that have only recently appeared on the big screen, as well as new TV series.
Commenting on the development, Inga Alika-Stroda, head of entertainment services at Tet, said: “We are constantly creating new ways to give viewers a unique cinema viewing experience. We are pleased to be one of the first Sony Pictures Entertainment partners in the Baltics, which will give us the opportunity to provide viewers with an even wider range of today’s top films and TV series”.
