The Hungarian incumbent Magyar Telekom has exercised its call option on a business holding in Cecoin.
According to BBJ, quoting a report in MTI, this will allow it to buy a fibre network with 110,000 access points and serving 38,000 customers for HUF6.95 billion (€17.36 million).
It adds that Magyar Telekom entered into an agreement in 2014 to build a fibre network and the following year leased it for 12 years from Cecoin.
The closing of the transaction is subject to then relevant authorities.
