A worsening component shortage, rising inflation and the war in Ukraine are among a basketful of issues facing the Finnish tech firm Teleste.
The company has issued a profit warning and lowered its guidance for 2022, citing increased uncertainty in forecasting how the business will be impacted. “The external business environment of the company has become substantially more challenging than earlier expected,” the company said in a statement.
Teleste estimates that net sales in 2022 will reach the levels enjoyed in 2021, though the adjusted operating result is likely to fall short.
The company says it has put in place measures to improve its profitability throiughb improving delivery capability and increasing delivery volumes, though the measures are likely to onluy have an impact from the end of the fiscal year.
