ITV has announced further details of its revamped streaming offer with 9,000 hours of free content and 35 flagship shows.
ITVX will replace ITV Hub with its prime content residing on the streaming service for at least six months before they make their debut on ITV’s suite of linear channels. These include cold war drama A Spy Among Friends starring Damian Lewis and Guy Pearce, new teen drama Tell Me Everything, and gripping four-part thriller Without Sin starring Vicky McClure. Following the launch of ITVX at least one new flagship show will debut each week.
In addition to the series premiering and streaming exclusively on ITVX, the service will also be launching full series of upcoming flagship ITV shows on their first day of broadcast.
ITVX will launch with “the UK’s largest free film library” featuring the acting talents of Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Daniel Day Lewis, Tom Hardy and Nicolas Cage.
In addition to the advertising supported service, there will also be an ad-free premium tier that also incorporates the UK version of Britbox.
