Nearly two thirds (62.5%) of households in Croatia subscribed to pay-TV services at the end of the first quarter.
This, according to figures published by the regulator HAKOM, was up from 59% in the same period last year.
IPTV accounted for 32.2% of all TV reception in Q1, followed by cable (13%), satellite (9.8%) and pay-DTT (7.5%), with FTA the remainder (37.5%) the remainder.
The total number of pay-TV connections was 875,252, or 0.28% more than a year earlier.
The IPTV total (450,782) was up by 1.17% year-on-year, while cable TV (181,524) was up by 0.91% and satellite TV (137,722) down by 4.76%.
Pay-DTT take-up (105,244) was up by 2.38% and terrestrial TV (525,752) down by 13.48%.
Total TV revenues in Q1 were HRK215,044,183 (€28,587,329), or 3.21% more than a year earlier.
HAKOM notes that total investment in the electronic communications sector was 18.5% higher in Q1 than a year earlier and total revenues 2.1% higher.
