Canal+ has taken its holding in African pay-TV platform Multichoice to 18.44%.
The Vivendi pay-TV unit has been slowly growing its investment in the DStv operator.
Parent Vivendi began raising its stake in the company in 2020 as part of a wider plan to grow its international footprint; Canal already has a foothold in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa.
Last September, Vivendi secured 3% to reach 15% of the company.
In its most recent financial statement, Multichoice reported a total of 21.8 million households, 9 million in South Africa.
