Virgin Media O2 launches hyperfast Gig1 broadband for small businesses

June 9, 2022 11.23 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Virgin Media O2 is targeting small businesses with a new business broadband offer that includes 4G back-up, automatic fault reporting and new tariff options.

Voom Fibre offers a choice of download speeds; 400Mbps, 600Mbps, 800Mbps and 1Gbps – with different upload speeds, service level agreements and static IP options available. Business phone lines, as well as additional features like call diversion and call waiting services can also be added.

Voom Fibre customers can add Constant Connect, with 4G back-up from O2’s mobile network to their package. The unlimited backup will report any issues direct to Virgin Media’s customer services – such add ons are becoming increasingly common.

“Small businesses are what keep the UK economy going – and we know that now, more than ever, they can’t afford to slow down,” said Gregg Pearce, Director of SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) at Virgin Media O2. “Our customers have told us that what they value most is speed, reliability and flexibility, which is why we’re introducing the UK’s fastest widely available business broadband speeds with the launch of Voom Gig1 business broadband.”

Customers who take an eligible small business mobile contract from O2 can also enjoy free O2 4G back-up, 4G start-up for new customers (to keep them connected before their broadband is installed), and double mobile data as part of the Volt package.

Voom Gig1 Fibre from Virgin Media is now available for new and existing small business customers from £60 per month.
