Poland’s leading cable operator Vectra has strengthened its position in the market still further by acquiring a 100% stake in Elsat.
Elsat has been present in Silesia for over 30 years and provides triple play services to 15,000 households.
All told, it operates in nine cities, including Bytom, Gliwice, Katowice and Chorzów, and covers 33,000 households.
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed and Elsat will continue to both operate under the same name and provide the same services to its subscribers.
Vectra currently has 4 million RGUs and its services are used in over 1.7 million homes.
In total, it covers 4.6 million homes throughout Poland.
