Belgium’s DTH platform Télésat has launched a TV application on Apple TV.
The app was already available on Smart TVs from LG, Panasonic, Sony, Philips, Samsung and Vestel as well as on Android TV.
Users can watch channels, as well as pause, rewind and fast-forward, though the channel selection does very slightly when compared to the satellite line-up. It also offers picture-in-picture mode, which allows “watching two streams simultaneously, live and VOD”.
Last month, M7 announced it was integrating its TV platforms into smart TV sets from leading manufacturers through a MediaTek chip and the HbbTV 2.0.2 standard.
