The acquisition of Greece’s Wind Hellas and organic growth helped United Group grow its homes passed figure by 19% in the year to March 31.
According to the company in its latest results, it stood at 4,491,000 at the end of the first quarter. Meanwhile, the number of unique cable subscribers increased from 2,019,000 to 2,143,000 over the same period. Acquisitions in Greece (Wind Hellas), Optima Telekom (Croatia) and in Bulgaria also contributed to a 38% year-on-year growth in the RGU total to 15,046,000. At the same time, ARPU rose from €17.6 to €18.3.
On the financial front, United Group has revenues of €616.8 million in Q1, or 40% more than in the same period last year.
Adjusted EBITDAal rose by 34% to €215.3 million and loss was €45.2 million, a 525% increase on the €7.2 million loss in Q1 2021.
