ShopLC is expanding its distribution in Germany with the launch on nationwide DTT platform Freenet TV.
The broadcaster has signed a long-term contract with Freenet TV parent company Media Broadcast, securing the last vacant capacity on the DTT platform. ShopLC can be received on EPG slot 30 and on position 108 on hybrid OTT service Freenet TV Connect.
With the free-to-air distribution on Freenet TV, ShopLC reaches around 2.5 million homes, according to the broadcaster, adding that the move follows the success of UK sister service Shop TJC on DTT platform Freeview.
ShopLC, which specialises in items such as jewellery, cosmetics, home accessories and fashion, launched its German channel on July 1, 2021. The free-TV service is available via Astra (19.2° East), on Deutsche Telekom’s TV platform MagentaTV and on cable networks driven by an agreement with cable association DNMG.
