German app developer B1 SmartTV has launched Sportworld, a platform for sports fans, on Samsung smart TVs.
The aggregator app bundles 12 linear sports TV channels for a monthly price of €14.99. Included are eSports1, Sport1+, SportBild+, Sportdigital Football, European League of Football, Motorvision.TV, Sportdeutschland.TV, ClipMyHorse.TV, fight24 HD, More Than Sports TV, Fitness Nation and EDGEsport.
As part of Samsung’s current “Made for Germany” campaign, buyers of selected smart TV models will receive the pay-TV package free of charge for up to 12 months.
Sportworld also includes an EPG covering over 35 sports channels as well as the 24/7 Sportworld channel which shows highlights of the 12 participating pay-TV channels. Both offers are accessible without a subscription.
In addition to the Smart TV app, Sportworld will soon be offered as a smartphone and tablet app (iOS/Android), linking the smart TV with mobile devices.
