Netflix has introduced a new feature within its kids’ profiles.
The Mystery Box is a take on the Surprise Me function found on adult profiles with kids being offered both content familiar to them and a chance to discover new parts of the library.
Netflix says this may vary from Ada Twist and her pals Iggy and Rosie, through to the dinosaurs from Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous or a few feline friends from Gabby’s Dollhouse.
The Mystery Box is found in the kids ‘Favorites Row’ at the top of the homepage. The row is character-driven help children connect with their favourite characters more quickly. When you hover over the Mystery Box the chosen title is revealed.
Mystery Box is one of several features introduced for kids so far this year. They also include Kids Top 10 Row, Kids Recap emails and parental controls.
