Poland’s leading cable operator Vectra has acquired a 100% stake in Evio Polska for an undisclosed fee.
As a result of the transaction, Evio Polska has joined the company SGT, which is part of the Vectra Group and provides professional services on the IPTV market and technological services for cable operators.
Evio’s existing business partners and end users will gain access to, among others, VOD services, streaming services such as HBO Max or Viaplay, as well as TV Smart and mobile telephony and LTE internet services. Evio will, in turn, increase the possibilities of SGT thanks to developed technological solutions.
Evio Polska will not change its name. It will also continue to provide TV services to its customers using the brand Telewizja Swiatlowodowa.
Vectra currently provides a range of services, including fibre-optic internet, digital TV, VOD, OTT and fixed-line telephony, to over 1.7 million customers. All told, its network covers 4.6 million households.
Meanwhile, SGT cooperates with 350 ISPs, reaching over 100,000 people with an IPTV service under the Jambox brand. Evo Polska cooperates with over 200 partners, providing TV services to over 40,000 users.
