Russia’s Gazprom-Media has launched a new platform for the distribution of sports video content.
Developed by its sales house in partnership with Match!, it is known as Match!Partner and provides verified resources with exclusive access to Match TV videos, along with the possibility of monetising them. One of the first tests of the platform took place during the Ice Hockey World Championship in 2021.
Match!Partner improves user experience and product metrics (CR, ER, Time Spend) on sports resources. Also, thanks to the platform, partners will be able to receive a part of the income from the implementation of commercials embedded in the content.
In various comments on the new platform, Andrey Sizyakin, chief editor of digital projects at Sport-Express, pointed out that it is “especially important in view of the unclear prospects of YouTube in our Internet space”.
Meanwhile, Alexander Frolov, digital development director, Match TV, said that at least 30% of the sports media market (In Russia) is made up of technologies focused on the b2b segment”.
