BILD TV expands German cable distribution with DNMG

May 10, 2022 08.23 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

WeltN24 and Deutsche Netzmarketing (DNMG) have signed a long-term framework agreement for the distribution of BILD TV on German cable networks.

The agreement brings the TV channel of the tabloid BILD, which launched in August 2021, to the networks of the more than 200 cable operators organised in industry association DNMG. Together with WELT and N24 Doku, BILD TV is part of Axel Springer’s family of channels bundled in WeltN24.

“We are very pleased to be able to offer our network operators and their customers the currently brightest star in the news TV sky with BILD. From the start, we immediately reach well over a million households through distribution on the networks of the DNMG network operators,” said Damian Lohmann, Senior Manager Partner Relations at DNMG.

Stephan Zech, Executive Director Video BILD, added: “The partnership with DNMG brings us significantly closer to nationwide distribution on German cable. For us, the agreement is an important step towards securing HD coverage in the free-TV line-up of the more than 200 DNMG network operators. Our joint goal is to reach all households across Germany with our news and entertainment offering.”
