M7 Deutschland expands TV line-up with SPI channels

May 6, 2022 09.22 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

M7 Deutschland offers an extended variety of TV channels for network operators: 9 channels from global player SPI International, recently acquired by M7 parent company Canal+ Group, will join the M7 channel line-up.

The new additions cover genres such as movies, sports, action and documentaries in HD and Ultra HD resolution.

The new SPI channels on M7 are Dizi, FilmBox Arthouse, FightBox, FastnfunBox, FunBox UHD, FashionBox, 360 TuneBox, Gametoon und DocuBox. The adrenaline sports channel FastnfunBox HD will be the first addition, available to all M7 partners for distribution via cable and IPTV from early July 2022, with the other channels to follow.

“We are pleased to offer M7 partners a large number of new, exclusive channels in partnership with SPI International, providing them with further added value that will strengthen their competitive position,” said Marco Hellberg, Managing Director of Eviso Germany, the M7 business partner in Germany. “With the attractive SPI programme content, we are also significantly expanding our video-on-demand offering.”

“We are excited to be adding the high energy, adrenaline sports channel FastnfunBox to the M7 portfolio, making it available to an even broader number of subscribers within Germany,” said Georgina Twiss, Managing Director, Western Europe & Africa at SPI International. “We are building on our great partnership with the M7 team and look forward to announcing further channel launches in the near future.”

M7 and Canal+ International will present the expanded channel portfolio and other news at their stand in hall 8 (no. A10) at German trade fair ANGA COM in Cologne from May 10 to 12, 2022. Marco Hellberg will talk about M7’s expansion plans and strategies at the ANGA COM conference panel “IPTV and OTT: Current Platform Concepts for Network Operators” on May 11, 16:30-17:30 CEST, in congress room 3.
