Confusion surrounds the upcoming launch of a new Polish channel named Nuta Gold on May 1.
According to Presserwis, it will be operated by MWE Networks and replace Gold TV, which is owned by a company named Telestar.
Telestar has a long-standing agreement in place with MWE Networks which sees the latter produce and distribute Gold TV. However, it finishes at the end of this month.
Earlier this week operators were left confused by a notification from MWE Networks, which is owned by the entrepreneur Michal Winnicki, that Gold TV will be replaced by Nuta Gold, a channel solely operated by MWE Networks.
Furthermore, they were not notified of Gold TV’s closure by Telestar.
