Revenues at Vivendi grew by 13% in the first quarter as Canal+ Group and Havas both put on €89 million.
Canal is continuing its transformation and now represents half of the French media concerns revenues. First quarter revenues came in at €1,446 million, an increase of 6.5% on 2021.
Revenue from international operations increased by 6.2% thanks to a significant increase in the number of subscribers.
Studiocanal’s revenues increased by 4.5% thanks to cinema successes, such as Superwho?, Waiting for Bojangles and Goliath, and a strong performance from its back catalogue.
Canal+ is now entitled to broadcast movies in France six months after their theatrical release, compared to 12 months in 2018.
