Italy’s competition regulator is lifting a ban on Sky Italia that had prevented the platform from distributing exclusive content online.
The AGCM had imposed the three-year ban in May 2019 after a deal a deal between the Comcast unit and Mediaset for the sale of its premium DTT business.
In a statement, the regulator said it would be removing the ban, noting that it was due to expire, and the absence of exclusive content in the intervening period. It also acknowledged changes in the market resulting from the Coronavirus pandemic.
