Albania’s Kastrati Group has acquired a 60% stake in Euronews Albania for an undisclosed fee.
According to Politiko, 40% of the company will remain in the hands of Intermedia Group and a new investment plan envisages expanding into Kosovo and North Macedonia.
Kastrati Group is owned by the entrepreneur Shefqet Kastrati and has a strong presence in a number of industries in Albania and other countries in the region.
Euronews Albania has been operating since 2019.
The transaction follows closely on from the acquisition of Albania’s Scan TV by Balfin Group.
