Pluto TV adds two channels from A+E Networks UK

April 6, 2022 09.57 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Inside Crime UK and Mystery TV have been added to the Pluto free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) service in the UK.

The channels have been launched in partnership with A+E Networks UK.

They’re the first themed channels from the broadcaster to launch on Pluto TV in the UK as the streaming service continues to build relationships with leading content owners around the world.

Inside Crime UK goes behind the headlines of some of the country’s most infamous crimes, with a range of programmes which open the door to real life crime scenes. The channel features series like Crimes that Shook Britain, which explores some of the country’s most disturbing cases, and Britain’s Darkest Taboos, which takes an unflinching look at shocking crimes within families and relationships.

Mystery TV delves into a world of the explained and the supernatural, featuring aliens, UFOs and government secrets. The programme lineup includes Weird or What, hosted by William Shatner, which examines different supernatural and scientific phenomena in each episode, and Conspiracy Files Unsealed, based on a decades’ worth of declassified FBI files.

“Content partners continue to choose Pluto TV for its sophisticated user platform – developed over years as the leader in this space – together with our unrivalled reach, monetisation model and brand awareness,” said Dan Fahy, SVP Streaming, UK, at Paramount.

Julie Mitchelmore, VP, Digital at A+E Networks UK, added: “The growth of true crime and mystery programming continues to go from strength to strength. This partnership provides a great opportunity to maximize our catalogue of evergreen programming for new digital audiences who can stream A+E Network UK’s shows anytime, anywhere.”

Paramount Global-owned Pluto TV is available in the United States, Europe and Latin America.
