RTL Group has completed the sale of RTL Belgium to the Belgian media companies DPG Media and Grouppe Rossel.
This follows the approval of the transaction by the Belgian competition authority on March 29.
According to RTL Group, “the sale is in line with its strategy to drive consolidation in the European TV industry to build national cross-media champions”.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, RTL Group entered into an agreement in June 2021 to sell its Belgian operation for €250 million.
