Sky Media named sales house for TalkTV

News UK’s new launch TalkTV has appointed Sky Media to manage its advertising sales.

The news and opinion channel goes live on April 25th and be available to all UK viewers across a range of linear TV platforms, including Sky, Freeview and Freesat.TalkTV will also be streamed via Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus and on YouTube, as well as via the Talk.TV website and TalkTV iOS and Android apps.

As part of the partnership, TalkTV will also be launching on Sky’s new streaming TV, Sky Glass, in the coming months.

Its original programming will be largely restricted to primetime where the schedule features Piers Morgan Uncensored and The Talk with Sharon Osbourne.

Scott Taunton, EVP, President of Broadcasting for News UK, said: “Everyone in the UK will be able to access TalkTV and its programming, live or on-demand, either on their television or on any personal device. Working with Sky Media, we’re going to be offering advertisers a broad range of innovative partnership opportunities that will let them reach this audience in new and engaging ways.”

Sky Media will them responsibility for all of TalkTV’s linear advertising, in addition to on-demand, while broader sponsorship opportunities will be managed collaboratively by News UK and Sky Media.

We look forward to collaborating with the TalkTV team to offer agencies and brands exciting advertising and partnerships opportunities across the spectrum of their content offering.”

Sky Media has a portfolio of 130 channels, reaching over 93% of the UK population every month.
