Nearly 400 episodes of popular TV shows will be available as part of a new advertising-supported VOD service being launched by YouTube in the United States.
The Alphabet-owned platform has secured episodes of Hell’s Kitchen [hasn’t everyone?], Andromeda and Heartland, amongst others.
YouTube also has over 1,500 movies from Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, FilmRise, and more. New titles in March include Gone in Sixty Seconds, Runaway Bride and Legally Blonde, which are now available to stream for free with ads.
Many of these titles are also available in high definition 1080p with 5.1 surround sound audio on supported devices.
Up to 100 new titles will be added each week and be available to stream on web browsers, mobile devices, and most connected TVs via the YouTube on TV app.
