The Estonian operator Elisa has appointed two more executives to its senior management team.
While Mailiis Ploomann has taken over the management of Elisa’s private customer unit, Karin Kanepi is now head of the marketing and communication unit. The company notes that both executives have contributed to Elisa’s success, innovation and customer focus by developing new digital services and contributing to the company’s performance.
Commenting on the appointments, Andrus Hiipuu, CEO of Elisa, said: “Elisa’s goal is to become the leading entertainment, IT and telecommunications company in the Estonian market and to continue to be an excellent employer. Mailiis and Karin are two strong, long-term managers who can apply their experience in the strategic management of the company’s units and digital changes even more this year”.
According to Elisa, both managers joined the company in 2009 and came to temporarily replace employees on parental leave. For a period of almost 13 years, they have played an active role in shaping the company’s strategy and later implementing it.
Ploomann started in the company as the product manager of a private customer unit and rose to the position of head of Elisa’s telecom services, while Kanepi has so far headed Elisa’s marketing area, which was merged with the communications area this year and became a separate joint marketing and communication unit.
