Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers (KMU) has submitted proposals to the National Security and Defence Council seeking indefinite sanctions on Russian OTT services.
According to Mediasat, they would affect such platforms as ivi, Okko, More TV and Premier
It adds that in practice, this would amount to blocking their assets; preventing the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine; the cancellation or suspension of licences and other permits, restriction or termination of the provision of telecom services and the use of public telecom networks; and the blocking of their web resources by ISPs.
Sanctions would also be applied to some Russian media managers, journalists, TV channels and media holdings.
