Dutch launch for ODMedia’s MojiTV on Samsung TV Plus

March 10, 2022 12.23 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Samsung TV Plus and the international content services and processing company ODMedia have announced the launch of the kids channel MojiTV in the Netherlands.

As of March 10, viewers in the country can watch the channel for free through Samsung TV Plus, available on all 2017-2022 Samsung smart TVs.

The addition of ODMedia’s MojiTV to Samsung’s channel line-up represents the first local kids’ channel to launch on the Samsung TV Plus service in The Netherlands.

Commenting on the launch, Andrea Schumacher, business development lead, Samsung TV Plus Benelux, said: “The growth of Samsung TV Plus has everything to do with the quality and variety of local content. Families are increasingly turning to ad-supported video services as a source of quality entertainment. Through this exciting partnership with OD Media and their linear /FAST kids channel MojiTV, we are now able to bring familiar and well-loved kids TV brands to our free, easy-to-access Samsung TV Plus service in The Netherlands”.

Sjef Pijnenburg, CEO of ODMedia, added: “We are very proud to launch MojiTV on the Samsung TV Plus video service. This new offering will not only entertain children and families alike but also creates new revenue possibilities with full IP control for our clients”.

Petrina Nagtzaam, ODMedia sr. project manager, kids, said: “Samsung TV Plus is a rapidly expanding pioneer in the streaming space and was a natural next step for MojiTV. We are thrilled to be a part of their growing channel line-up and look forward to entertaining new audiences in the Netherlands”.

MojiTV was Initially launched on Amazon Prime in November 2020 as a paid channel then added as a free channel, with selected content, on YouTube the following year.
