Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has withdrawn two more foreign TV channels from the list of services allowed to be distributed in the country.
In a statement, it says that Belarus’s Bialorus 24, also known as TV Bialorus, and Russia’s Pierwyj kanal, also known as Channel 1 Russia, ORT1, are no longer allowed to be shown in accordance with the 1992 Radio and TV Act.
This allows KRRiT’s chairman to make such decisions immediately enforceable.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Poland was one of the first countries to ban a number of Russian channels, including RT (Russia Today), following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
