Telia Denmark strengthens streaming offer with TV 2 Play

March 2, 2022 11.53 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Telia customers can now access TV 2 Play, the latest addition to its portfolio of streaming services.

TV 2 is Denmark’s popular commercial channel and broadcasts a mix of entertainment, news and sport. The subscription service gives access to TV 2’s entire back catalogue of Danish content including previews of drama and entertainment shows ahead of their linear broadcast.

“At Telia, we are committed to delivering quality entertainment to our customers. This is one of the initiatives that will make us the first choice for families in Denmark. That’s why I’m pleased to be able to offer our customers TV 2 PLAY at a favourable price,” says Lone Kyhl Hendriksen, Director of Consumer Business at Telia.

Telia has negotiated a discount to the regular price, charging DKK 10 per month, though customers can already receive TV 2 Play free of charge for the first three months.

“Telia and TV 2 have had a good partnership around traditional TV channels for many years, and we look forward to expanding the partnership with TV 2 PLAY. The partnership is fully in line with TV 2’s strategy, which under the heading “TV 2 PLAY for everyone” is about securing TV 2’s future impact by continuing to increase the number of Danes who have access to TV 2 PLAY. And here partners like Telia play an important role,” says Rikke Buus Dahl, Head of TV 2 PLAY BtB & Partnersales at TV 2.

TV 2 PLAY joins other streaming services Netflix, Spotify, HBO Max and Discovery+.
