The Estonian operator Elisa has decided to suspend 11 more Russian language channels from it offer.
In a statement, it says it has taken the action against the channels in question – PBK Eesti, Dom Kino Baltic, Karusel, Muzõka Pervogo, Vremja, Telekafe, Bobjor, Dom Kino Premium, ? !, Pojehali !, Ren TV – due to a memorandum received from the Money Laundering Data Bureau (RAB). According to the RAB, the transmission of channels and business with channel owners may be in conflict with EU sanctions.
Elisa adds that it has requested additional information from the RAB and will suspend the transmission of channels for the duration of the investigation.
Last Thursday, February 25, it suspended the transmission of the following Russian-language channels RTR Planeta, TVCi, Belarus 24 and NTV Mir on the orders of the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA).
