Romania’s RCS&RDS ended 2021 with a total of 5,129,000 subscribers to its cable and DTH services.
This, according to parent company Digi Communications in its latest results, was up from 4,733,000 a year earlier.
Meanwhile, ARPU for RCS&RDS, whose services also include fixed internet and data, mobile telecoms and fixed telephony, was down slightly, from €4.9 to €4.8.
Digi notes Digi Hungary, which was sold to 4iG, is now classified as discontinued operation.
Digi’s total revenues in 2021, from continuing and discontinuing operations, amounted to €1,472,3 million, up from €1,306.1 million in 2020. Total adjusted EBITDA was €524.9 million (€479.8 million), and profit before tax was €73,528 million, up from €24,669 million in 2020.
Digi’s main contributors to growth were its Romanian fixed internet and mobile services RGUs, as well as Spain’s mobile RGUs.
