Hrvatski Telekom grows TV business

Hrvatski Telekom (HT) saw its TV subscriber base in Croatia grow by 6% in 2021.

The latest results published by the company show that it ended the year with 536,000, up from 505,000 12 months earlier. Meanwhile, TV ARPU was 0.3% lower at HRK86 (€11.4).

HT’s broadband, TV and data revenues in Croatia in 2021 amounted to HRK1,616 million, up 5.4% on the previous year.

Meanwhile, in Montenegro, HT’s subsidiary ended 2021 with 74,000 TV subscribers, or 4.8% more than a year earlier.

HT notes it continued to focus on building its fibre-optic infrastructure across Croatia in 2021, expanding the fixed network by a record 100,000 households and businesses during the year and with total FTTH coverage growing by 30% year-on-year.

HT Group’s total revenues in 2021 amounted to HRK7,393 million, down 0.9% on the previous year. EBITDA after exceptional items was HRK3,254 million (+3.6%) and net profit after non-controlling interests HRK615 million (+4.5%).
