Positive momentum in EMEA and Asia helped Kudelski’s digital TV segment deliver results well ahead of company expectations.
The segment increased net revenues by 2.8% year-on-year to $355.1 million and EBITDA by 0.4% year-on-year to $97.3 million.
The company added a major Hollywood studio to its cinema clients, which took its NexGuard pre-release watermarking product. A global video game platform became the first to deploy watermarking to protect sensitive video game trailers.
Claro Colombia launched Claro Box, its next generation Android TV service powered by Nagra’s OpenTV Platform backend, while HD+ Ghana, a subsidiary of SES Group, successfully launched 4K services based on TVkey Cloud for the UEFA Euro 2020, the first 4K/UHD broadcast on the African continent.
Total company revenues increased to $778.8 million from $741.5 million in 2020.
