The HbbTV Association, which supports the delivery of advanced interactive TV services through broadcast and broadband networks for connected TV sets and set-top boxes, has added seven new members over the last 12 months.
The new members include broadcasting organisations, network operators, electronics manufacturers, technology companies and service providers; ATET (France), Digita Oy (Finland), Ocean Blue Software (OBS, UK), Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb, Germany), Skyworth Group & Shenzhen Chuangwei-RGB Electronics (China), Synamedia (UK) and ZEASN Europe (Netherlands).
“We are honoured and excited about more than half a dozen new members joining the HbbTV Association in the past year. This clearly confirms the significance of the HbbTV specifications among companies from different parts of the industry across all platforms,” said Vincent Grivet, Chair of the HbbTV Association. “I would like to encourage all industry players interested in shaping the TV and OTT world of the future to join the HbbTV Association as a member.”
The latest addition takes the Association’s membership to 75.
